In December 2020, she published her debut book, Cooking with Mai: Easy to Prepare West African Food, as part of her mission to bridge cultural gaps through the culinary arts. Mai’s commitment to public service was sparked early in her career during a prestigious internship at the United States House of Representatives. This foundational experience in community building led her to pursue an academic path focused on leadership and governance, earning an MBA and a B.S. in Political Science and Criminal Justice from Frostburg State University. She recently furthered her expertise by obtaining an Executive Master of Arts in Global Affairs and Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, specializing in the complexities of the modern global economy.
